Mitacs Accelerate Global Excellence Call 2026
Fully Funded Postdoctoral Opportunity in Canada
The Center for International Affairs (CIA), Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), invites researchers to apply for the Mitacs Accelerate Global Excellence Award 2026, a prestigious program supporting international postdoctoral researchers to conduct research in Canada.
This program offers the opportunity to collaborate with Canadian universities and industry partners, focusing on applied research that delivers real-world impact.
Funding
- CAD $170,000 (2 years)
- $85,000 per year
- Minimum $70,000 stipend/year
- Up to $15,000 for relocation and research expenses

Who Can Participate?
Postdoctoral Fellows
- Currently residing outside Canada and willing to relocate
- Within 5 years of PhD completion (extensions may apply)
- Eligible for postdoctoral status at a Canadian institution
- Open to international applicants and Canadians/permanent residents returning to Canada
- Must not have been employed full-time by the partner organization
- Must be 18 years or older
Partner Organizations
- Canadian for-profit companies (with >50% non-government funding)
- Also includes eligible non-profits, municipalities, or hospitals in Canada
- Eligibility can be confirmed with a Mitacs Advisor
Academic Supervisors
- Faculty member at a Canadian academic institution
- Eligible to hold Tri-Agency funding
Timeline
- Launch: March 2, 2026
- Deadline: May 1, 2026
