On November 5, 2025, the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, in collaboration with the Center for International Affairs, Suranaree University of Technology, organized a Loy Krathong Festival celebration for Thai and international students, staff, and interested participants. This cultural event aimed to preserve and promote Thailand’s traditional Loy Krathong festival, providing opportunities for the SUT community to experience and participate in one of Thailand’s most beautiful and significant cultural traditions.
The Loy Krathong celebration featured diverse traditional activities that allowed both Thai and international participants to engage deeply with Thai culture. The event included an exhibition about the Loy Krathong tradition, krathong-making workshops where participants could create their own krathongs, traditional Thai sweets and herbal beverages, and live music performances by SUT student musicians. This joint initiative between the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media and the Center for International Affairs reflects SUT’s commitment to cultural preservation and international cultural exchange, creating meaningful experiences that strengthen understanding and appreciation of Thai heritage among the diverse SUT community while fostering cross-cultural dialogue and friendship. :: Photo Album ::
ศูนย์บรรณสารและสื่อการศึกษาร่วมกับศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติจัดกิจกรรมวันลอยกระทง
เมื่อวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ศูนย์บรรณสารและสื่อการศึกษา ร่วมกับศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี จัดกิจกรรมประเพณีไทยในวันลอยกระทง ให้แก่นักศึกษาทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ บุคลากร และผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม เพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรมประเพณีลอยกระทงของไทย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออนุรักษ์และส่งเสริมประเพณีวัฒนธรรมไทยอันงดงาม และเปิดโอกาสให้ชุมชน มทส. ได้สัมผัสและมีส่วนร่วมในประเพณีสำคัญของไทย
งานลอยกระทงในครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วยกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่หลากหลาย ช่วยให้ผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติได้สัมผัสวัฒนธรรมไทยอย่างใกล้ชิด โดยมีนิทรรศการเกี่ยวกับประเพณีลอยกระทง กิจกรรมการจัดทำกระทงที่ผู้เข้าร่วมสามารถสร้างสรรค์กระทงของตนเอง การเสิร์ฟขนมไทยและเครื่องดื่มสมุนไพร และการแสดงดนตรีสดจากวงดนตรีของนักศึกษา มทส. การจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกันระหว่างศูนย์บรรณสารและสื่อการศึกษากับศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติในครั้งนี้ สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของ มทส. ในการอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมและการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างประเทศ สร้างประสบการณ์ที่มีคุณค่าในการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและความชื่นชมต่อมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมไทยท่ามกลางชุมชน มทส. ที่หลากหลาย พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการสื่อสารข้ามวัฒนธรรมและมิตรภาพที่ดีต่อกัน
