The Government of Romania has officially announced scholarship opportunities for Non-EU students for the 2026–2027 academic year to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees at accredited Romanian higher education institutions. The program aims to strengthen bilateral relations, promote international academic collaboration, and enhance the global visibility of Romanian universities.
Applications must be submitted online via the official platform by 31 March 2026, with results expected to be announced around 15 July 2026.
The scholarship program is open to citizens of Non-EU countries who meet the academic qualifications required for their chosen level of study. Applicants must hold recognized academic credentials and demonstrate strong academic performance.
Students may apply to study in all academic fields except Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy. Undergraduate and master’s degree programs are primarily taught in Romanian, while doctoral programs may be pursued in Romanian or another language, depending on institutional regulations.
Required application documents include academic transcripts, diplomas, passport copy, curriculum vitae, and other supporting materials as specified by the scholarship guidelines. Applicants who do not speak Romanian will be provided with a one-year preparatory Romanian language course prior to commencing their degree studies.
