Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand, proudly presented its cutting-edge research and innovations in health and wellbeing at the World Expo 2025, held in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, from October 8-12, 2025. The exhibition took place at the Thailand Pavilion under the theme “Thai-Smile Connecting Happiness World Destination.” Located in the Thailand Pavilion within the Connecting Lives Zone, SUT highlighted three signature innovations developed through interdisciplinary collaboration between its research and wellness initiatives: Surasole Smart Insoles and SuraPodo, a wireless sensor innovation designed to monitor gait patterns, balance impairment, and mobility risks among the elderly; Wolffia Superfood of the Future, introducing the world’s smallest flowering plant as a sustainable and nutrient-rich food source; and SUT Wellness Academy, promoting holistic health through the integration of Thai herbs, traditional medicine, and modern wellness practices.

The SUT exhibit attracted strong interest from international visitors, researchers, and industry representatives, reflecting the global relevance of innovations that bridge technology, nutrition, and wellbeing. In line with the Expo’s overarching theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” SUT’s participation underscored its commitment to developing research-driven solutions that enhance quality of life and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3). Through this global platform, SUT reaffirmed its vision of becoming a leading research university driving innovation for a healthier, more sustainable future for Thailand and the world.
