On 23 June 2026, a delegation from Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), comprising researchers from the Institute of Agricultural Technology, an artificial intelligence research team from the Institute of Engineering, and Thai traditional medicine specialists from the SUT Wellness Academy, visited the College of Chinese Medicine at China Medical University (CMU) in Taichung, Taiwan. The visit aimed to exchange knowledge on traditional Chinese medicine, digital health technologies, and medical AI, as well as to explore further academic and research collaboration between the two universities.
The SUT delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Lu-Hai Wang, Director of the Chinese Medicine Research Center, and Professor Hung-Rong Yen, Dean of the College of Chinese Medicine, together with CMU faculty members and researchers. The two institutions presented their research and exchanged perspectives on integrating traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis with digital diagnostic technologies. The discussions included the use of tongue characteristics in health assessment and the development of AI-assisted, real-time diagnostic systems.
The exchange also covered applications of AI in traditional medicine education and clinical practice, including the analysis and summarization of medical literature, AI-supported case discussions for students, the development of medical learning materials in comic form, and the real-time conversion of doctor–patient conversations into structured medical records. Discussions also addressed the integration of patients’ medical histories, laboratory results, and treatment records to support clinical analysis and patient monitoring, as well as the use of AI to identify medicinal plant varieties and suitable cultivation conditions.
The delegation visited the Lifu Museum of Chinese Medicine, which houses collections of traditional Chinese medicine texts, medicinal materials derived from plants, animals, and minerals, historical medical instruments, and both physical and digital acupuncture training models. The delegation subsequently visited China Medical University Hospital to observe the integration of Western and traditional Chinese medicine in diagnosis, surgery, herbal treatment, acupuncture, and cupping therapy, particularly in the rehabilitation and supportive care of patients following chemotherapy.
The programme also included a visit to the Chinese Medicine Pharmacy, where personalised herbal medicines are prepared according to individual prescriptions. Digital technologies are used to verify each stage of the process, from selecting and weighing medicinal herbs to mixing and packaging, thereby enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety.
China Medical University is recognised for its education and research in both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. The university places strong emphasis on integrating medical knowledge with science, digital technologies, and evidence-based research to advance healthcare services and medical innovation.
The visit formed part of the ongoing academic cooperation between SUT and CMU. Both institutions intend to further develop collaborative research, researcher and knowledge exchanges, and practical applications of AI and digital technologies in Thai traditional medicine, Chinese medicine, and medicinal plant production.

เมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2569 คณะนักวิจัยจากสำนักวิชาเทคโนโลยีการเกษตร ทีมวิจัยด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) จากสำนักวิชาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการแพทย์แผนไทยจาก SUT Wellness Academy มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี (มทส.) เข้าเยี่ยมชม College of Chinese Medicine, China Medical University (CMU) ณ เมืองไถจง ประเทศไต้หวัน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านการแพทย์แผนจีน การประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลและ AI ทางการแพทย์ ตลอดจนหารือแนวทางพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัย
ในโอกาสนี้ คณะผู้แทน มทส. ได้รับการต้อนรับจาก Professor Lu-Hai Wang, Director of the Chinese Medicine Research Center และ Professor Hung-Rong Yen, Dean of the College of Chinese Medicine พร้อมด้วยคณาจารย์และนักวิจัยของ CMU โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้นำเสนอผลงานวิจัยและแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในหัวข้อการบูรณาการการวินิจฉัยตามศาสตร์การแพทย์แผนจีนเข้ากับระบบวินิจฉัยดิจิทัล เช่น การนำลักษณะของลิ้นมาใช้ประกอบการประเมินภาวะสุขภาพ และการพัฒนาระบบตรวจวิเคราะห์แบบเรียลไทม์ด้วย AI
การแลกเปลี่ยนยังครอบคลุมการประยุกต์ใช้ AI ในการเรียนการสอนและการปฏิบัติงานทางคลินิกด้านการแพทย์แผนจีน อาทิ การวิเคราะห์และสรุปองค์ความรู้จากตำราการแพทย์ การจัดทำกรณีศึกษาเพื่อฝึกนักศึกษา การพัฒนาสื่อการเรียนรู้ในรูปแบบการ์ตูน และการแปลงบทสนทนาระหว่างแพทย์กับผู้ป่วยให้เป็นข้อมูลเวชระเบียนแบบเรียลไทม์ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลจากประวัติการรักษาและผลตรวจสุขภาพเพื่อสนับสนุนการวิเคราะห์และติดตามอาการของผู้ป่วย รวมถึงการประยุกต์ใช้ AI ในการวิเคราะห์สายพันธุ์พืชสมุนไพรและสภาพแวดล้อมที่เหมาะสมต่อการเพาะปลูก

นอกจากนี้ คณะผู้แทนยังได้เยี่ยมชม Chinese Medicine Pharmacy ซึ่งดำเนินการจัดเตรียมยาสมุนไพรให้เหมาะสมกับผู้ป่วยแต่ละราย โดยใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลตรวจสอบความถูกต้องตั้งแต่การเลือกสมุนไพร การชั่ง การผสม จนถึงการบรรจุยา เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและความปลอดภัยในการให้บริการ
China Medical University เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยด้านการแพทย์ที่มีความโดดเด่นด้านการเรียนการสอนและการวิจัย ทั้งด้านการแพทย์แผนปัจจุบันและการแพทย์แผนจีน โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้ทางการแพทย์เข้ากับวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล และการวิจัยเชิงประจักษ์ เพื่อยกระดับการดูแลผู้ป่วยและการพัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์
