THE 1ST ERASMUS+ INTERNATIONAL STAFF WEEK
INTERNATIONALIZATION AND DIGITALIZATION IN
HIGHER EDUCATION

On Monday 19 September 2022 (Day 1)
I walked to "Dunarea de Jos" University of
Galati (UDJG) at 9AM, the morning session
began with the registration and greet the
participants from other countries, I found out
from the host that some participants just
arrived at 5AM and some could not make it out
of the country because of their internal political
conflict.

In the afternoon we walked together to the city
theatre to attend the Conference “Horizon Europe”,
EU's main funding programme for research and
innovation, one of the most comprehensive research
and innovation programmes in the world, with a
budget of €95.5 billion. Not only the staff week
participants but the people from the higher education
in Galati and more joined the event with the EU
commissioner as a speaker, the conference conducted
in Romanian but they also provided the translation kits
for participants who need it. Any one who is
