Furthermore, I had great friendships with other international students
from the dormitory and GLC. Global Learning Common (GLC) is the place
that supports and holds various activities for both international students
and Japanese students. I met new international and Japanese friends
from participating in activities at GLC such as participating the Tanabata
festival. In this activity, I learned about the festival and how to wear the
yukata, one type of kimono usually worn in summer and summer
activities. Most of the activities held by GLC are associated with the
international culture the students can understand and exchange their
own culture. For the past four months in Japan, I stayed at SIT Global
Dormitory, a nice place to stay and to meet new friends. I met fabulous
friends from many countries including Japan, Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia,
France, Germany, China, Taiwan, Netherland, and many more. We did
various activities together such as cooking, takoyaki party, chit-chatting,
and Tanabata festival with the dorm members. Many valuable memories
happened here that I will not forget.
