SUT and UCSI Take the First Step towards Meaningful Collaboration, September 2, 2026

SUT and UCSI University explored opportunities in student and staff mobility, language development, academic engagement, and future collaborative initiatives.

On September 2, 2026, the Center for International Affairs (CIA), Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawee Usaha, Acting Director, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Tapany Patcharawit, Acting Deputy Director, and CIA staff, welcomed Mr. Han Ilkwang, ASEAN Region Specialist and Senior Manager at the Global Engagement Office, UCSI University, Malaysia. The meeting was held at Academic Building 2, SUT.

The visit provided an opportunity for UCSI University and SUT to initiate discussions on potential areas of cooperation, including short-term mobility programmes, student exchanges, internships, cooperative education, and research and innovation collaboration.

During the friendly and constructive meeting, representatives from both universities exchanged ideas on areas of mutual interest. The discussion covered staff mobility, English-language development for staff, student camps, cultural exchange activities, and other potential collaborative projects.

As a practical first step, both parties discussed beginning with small, concrete initiatives that could subsequently be developed into broader and more meaningful cooperation between the two universities. Click here to read the newsletter.
