KIIT Delegation Visits SUT to Strengthen Academic Collaboration, February 14, 2025

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) had the privilege of welcoming a delegation from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), India, to explore potential academic collaborations and enhance global engagement.

The visit aimed to strengthen institutional partnerships through discussions on student and staff mobility programs, joint research initiatives, and academic exchange opportunities.

Academic Discussions and Partnership Development

Before the formal meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawee Usaha, Director of the Center for International Affairs (CIA) at SUT, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Anita Pati, Dean of International Relations at KIIT. The two exchanged insights on academic collaborations and participated in a souvenir exchange, symbolizing the growing partnership between the institutions.

The official meeting took place at Learning Space 2, Academic Building 2, where key participants included:

  • Mr. Dipak Kumar Agrawal – PhD student, KIIT
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Tapany Patcharawit – Deputy Director, Center for International Affairs (CIA), SUT
  • Miss Sarathip Rodmek – CIA Staff, SUT

Discussions focused on collaborative research, faculty and student exchange programs, and strategies to enhance academic cooperation between SUT and KIIT.

Campus Visit and Cultural Exchange

Following the discussions, the KIIT delegation had the opportunity to explore the SUT campus, experiencing its world-class academic and research facilities. They later engaged with SUT lecturers over a networking lunch, fostering deeper connections and furthering academic ties.

The visit reinforced SUT’s commitment to global collaboration, opening doors for future joint initiatives between the two institutions.
