SUT Participates in Going Global 2025 Conference in London, October 28-30, 2025

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) participated in the Going Global 2025 conference organized by the British Council, held at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London, United Kingdom, from October 28-30, 2025. Assistant Professor Dr. Tapany Patcharawit, Deputy Director of the Center for International Affairs, represented SUT as part of a Thai delegation comprising 13 institutions and Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), attending this premier international forum focused on resilience, values, innovation, survival, and thriving in higher education amid volatile global geopolitical contexts.

During the three-day event, the Thai delegation engaged in strategic activities to strengthen collaboration between Thai and UK universities through the British Council partnership framework. Key activities included experiencing the immersive Learning Centre at Birkbeck, University of London, which offers innovative student support services and strategic carbon-footprint initiatives on campus; visiting Brunel University London campus with Professor Isaac Chang, a Senior Research Fellow, for discussions on academic collaboration, research, and mobility opportunities through MSCA partnership; networking at 1 George Street to explore potential solid collaborations in various academic and research spectrums; and participating in Scotland’s Higher Education partnering session for Global Impact, a vibrant evening event with the British Council and Scottish universities.

These strategic engagements have opened pathways for future collaborative projects, research partnerships, and student mobility programs between SUT and leading UK institutions, reinforcing SUT’s commitment to internationalization and global academic excellence.
