London, UK – October 31 – November 4, 2025 – Suranaree University of Technology strengthened its international partnerships through participation in the prestigious Thai-UK President Symposium and strategic visits to six leading UK universities, opening new pathways for academic collaboration in engineering, sustainable materials, and biotechnology research.
Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) participated in the Thai-UK President Symposium organized by the British Council from October 31 to November 4, 2025, in London, United Kingdom. At Royal Holloway, University of London, Professor Tracy Bhamra (Provost and Pro Vice-Chancellor Global) and her team warmly welcomed the delegation for a comprehensive campus tour in arts and visual/game design studios, together with electrical and electronics engineering laboratory, with the university ranking 15th in the UK and featuring historically prominent campus facilities. At the University of Reading, Professor Robert Van de Noort (Vice-Chancellor) and his team presented insightful information about climate stripe and campaign activities across campus, showcasing the university’s strong areas in business, biomedical, wearable devices through the Movement Lab, and the BIGGEST & NEWEST Biotechnology laboratory in Europe, with Reading being a research-intensive university ranked in the UK TOP 30.
The delegation also traveled north to meet Professor Andrew Abbott and Dr. Jake (Minjun) Yang at the Centre for Sustainable Materials Processing, University of Leicester, to experience their cutting-edge generative lab and facility tour, paving the way for major steps in prospective research collaboration on materials recycling and interesting programs with exchange and mobility opportunities between the two universities.
