Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), through the Center for International Affairs (CIA), is pleased to announce that the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN) Student Competition 2025-26 is now open for registration. The competition invites undergraduate and postgraduate students from WTUN member universities to showcase their creative solutions addressing one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) through innovative ideas and responsible science.

This year’s competition theme is “Responsible Science,” where student teams of two to four members are encouraged to form multi-disciplinary teams to develop sustainable and practical proposals. Participants must create a short proposal and a 3-5 minute video presenting their idea and submit them through the official competition form by 11:59 p.m., Thursday, 9 April 2026. Winners will be announced by 31 May 2026.
The competition seeks innovative and technological solutions with measurable societal impact and encourages students to consider not only technical feasibility but also social and economic challenges inherent in achieving sustainable outcomes. Winning teams will receive cash prizes for first, second, and third place, and the top team will also be invited to present their project virtually at WTUN Congress 2025, where they will share their work with delegates from international universities.
SUT students are encouraged to take part in this exciting global challenge that promotes creativity, collaboration, and real-world impact in addressing global sustainability issues.
