India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) 2025–26 Now Open for Applications

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has announced the India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) 2025–26, offering a fully funded opportunity for researchers and academics from selected Asian countries, including Thailand, to conduct research in leading universities and research institutions in India.

The fellowship supports short-term research visits lasting 3–6 months, allowing participants to collaborate with Indian scientists, access advanced research facilities, and expand international academic networks.

Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows will receive financial support including:

  • Monthly stipend of INR 50,000
  • Round-trip economy airfare
  • Visa fee reimbursement
  • Research contingency grant of INR 10,000
  • Research support grant of INR 20,000 for the host institution

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be researchers or faculty members actively involved in research
  • Hold a PhD / M.Tech / M.Sc / MBBS with research or teaching experience
  • Or be a registered PhD student
  • Be under 45 years old
  • Secure a host scientist in India
