The Center for International Affairs (CIA), Suranaree University of Technology, organized the “Canada Internship Journey: Experience Sharing Session” on 10 March 2026 to prepare students who will participate in the MITACS Globalink Research Internship programme in Canada. The session provided valuable guidance and practical insights for students planning to undertake international research internships, helping them better understand the preparation process and opportunities available abroad.

During the session, students who had previously completed their internships in Canada shared their experiences studying and conducting research at leading universities, including the University of Victoria and the University of Waterloo. They discussed academic activities, cultural adaptation, daily life, and practical preparation tips such as document requirements, managing living expenses, and adjusting to a new environment.

The event highlighted the importance of international exposure in developing students’ academic, professional, and intercultural competencies while strengthening SUT’s global engagement.
