Dr. Sumittra Vichaikammart, SUT Academic Staff from the School of Cooperative Education, Institute of Social Technology, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), has been awarded the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan to study Mandarin Chinese at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan for three months, from December 2026 to February 2027, with partial air ticket support from SUT.
The Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) is offered by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education to support international students and professionals in pursuing Mandarin Chinese language studies in Taiwan. The programme aims to enhance participants’ Mandarin proficiency, deepen their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and promote mutual understanding between Taiwan and the international community. According to the MOE-related scholarship information, HES recipients receive a monthly stipend of NTD 28,000 during the scholarship period, and the scholarship may support study periods of 2, 3, 6, or 9 months, depending on the programme and application conditions.
Dr. Sumittra will undertake her Mandarin study at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), one of SUT’s academic cooperation partners in Taiwan. SUT and NCKU have signed an academic cooperation agreement, providing a strong foundation for academic exchange, professional development, and future collaborative activities between the two universities. Recent SUT–NCKU engagements have also reflected continued efforts to strengthen collaboration in areas such as academic exchange, research, and technology-related fields.
This achievement reflects SUT’s commitment to supporting the international development of its academic staff and enhancing global competencies through language learning, cultural exchange, and academic cooperation with leading partner institutions abroad.

ดร.สุมิตรา วิไชยคำมาตย์ บุคลากรสายวิชาการ สาขาวิชาสหกิจศึกษา สำนักวิชาเทคโนโลยีสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี ได้รับทุน Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) จาก กระทรวงศึกษาธิการไต้หวัน เพื่อเข้าศึกษาภาษาจีนกลาง ณ National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) ไต้หวัน เป็นระยะเวลา 3 เดือน ระหว่างเดือนธันวาคม 2569 – กุมภาพันธ์ 2570 โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนค่าบัตรโดยสารเครื่องบินบางส่วนจากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี
ทุน Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) เป็นทุนจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการไต้หวัน มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนนักศึกษาและบุคลากรนานาชาติในการศึกษาภาษาจีนกลาง ณ ไต้หวัน เสริมสร้างทักษะทางภาษา ความเข้าใจด้านวัฒนธรรมและสังคมไต้หวัน ตลอดจนส่งเสริมความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างไต้หวันและนานาชาติ โดยข้อมูลจากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกระทรวงศึกษาธิการไต้หวันระบุว่า ผู้ได้รับทุนจะได้รับเงินสนับสนุนรายเดือนจำนวน 28,000 ดอลลาร์ไต้หวัน ตลอดระยะเวลารับทุน และทุนสามารถสนับสนุนระยะเวลาศึกษาได้ตั้งแต่ 2, 3, 6 หรือ 9 เดือน ตามเงื่อนไขของแต่ละรอบการรับสมัคร
การเข้าร่วมโครงการของ ดร.สุมิตรา ณ National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) ในครั้งนี้ ยังเป็นกิจกรรมที่สอดคล้องกับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี และ NCKU ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันที่ได้ลงนามความร่วมมือทางวิชาการร่วมกัน โดยความร่วมมือดังกล่าวเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการ การพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร และการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของทั้งสองมหาวิทยาลัยอย่างต่อเนื่อง
