Yesterday, [20 December 2023], the Center for International Affairs (CIA) at Suranaree University of Technology hosted the ASEA-UNINET Virtual Workshop 2024. With over sixty participants, the event unfolded in a harmonious display of global collaboration, sparked by an inspiring opening message from H.E. Mr. Wilhelm M. Donko, Austrian Ambassador to Thailand.
Following that, Mr. Christoph Niederhauser, Programme Officer at the ASEA-UNINET Network Office, delved into the overview of the Ernst Mach Grant, laying the foundation for understanding collaborative projects. Ms. Barbara Karahan, Programme Officer at the ASEA-UNINET Network Office, later highlighted these projects. This dynamic introduction set the stage for Prof. Dr. A Min Tjoa, from the Institute of Information Systems Engineering at Vienna University of Technology and ASEA-UNINET Coordinator for Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability Projects for Europe. Prof. Tjoa passionately explored ASEA-UNINET Research Opportunities, providing valuable insights, and laying the groundwork for the subsequent session.
The spotlight then turned to Prof. Rick Rabiser, Head of Christian Doppler Lab VaSiCS at JKU, Head of JKU/Dynatrace Co-Innovation Lab, Head of Cyber-Physical Systems Lab, Linz Institute of Technology who shared practical strategies for crafting successful research proposals. The subsequent interactive Q&A session fostered engagement with speakers, leading seamlessly to Dr. Mullika Sungsanit, Vice Rector for Engagement at SUT as the ASEA-UNINET National Coordinator for Thailand, who closed the virtual symposium with vibrant remarks.
Held exclusively online, the workshop not only ignited global academic synergy but also inspired collaborative excellence. ASEA-UNINET, in partnership with the CIA at Suranaree University of Technology, continues to guide future breakthroughs and partnerships.
