The Chemical Modelling and Informatics (CheMIn) research group at TU Graz invites qualified Thai candidates to apply for doctoral studies in computational chemistry, artificial intelligence, and laboratory automation. The scholarship supports a complete doctorate in Austria for up to 36 months.
Scholarship Details
- Open to Thai nationals aged 35 or under.
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent and meet TU Graz’s PhD admission requirements.
- Applicants completing their Master’s degree must obtain their final degree certificate by the application deadline.
- Doctoral studies must begin by the summer semester of 2028.
- Applicants must obtain written confirmation of supervision and enrol at TU Graz before the scholarship is paid.
Research Topics
- Computational Chemistry and Chemical-Space Exploration — Quantum-chemical calculations, molecular modelling, and the study of structure–property relationships.
- Chemical Knowledge, AI and Assembly Modelling — The application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and knowledge graphs in chemical research.
- Laboratory Automation and Digital Experimentation — Automated laboratory systems and digital experimentation.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates should submit their CV and a short motivation statement directly to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Kondinski at kondinski@tugraz.at. Candidates whose profiles align with the research group’s interests may receive supervision confirmation and a formal letter of acceptance, enabling them to proceed with the OeAD scholarship application.
