SUT Institute of Engineering organized the Autonomous Aerial Vehicle Challenge 2017 from November 24-26. The competitors were required to develop UAVs that can search and deliver survival kits to critically ill patients at several locations during one flight. Educational Institutes participating in this competition included the University of Glasgow, Singapore University Technology and Design, Singapore Polytechnic (Singapore), National Defense Academy (Japan), Guizhou Minzu University (China) Kasetsart University and Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (Thailand).
