Between the 3rd and 6th January 2018, Suranaree University of Technology’s administrators, led by Professor Dr. Santi Maensiri, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization together with Associate Professor Dr. Anan Tongraar, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Technology Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Worawat Meevasana, Dean of Institute of Science, Associate Professor Flight Lieutenant Dr. Kontorn Chamniprasart, Dean of Institute of Engineering and Associate Professor Dr. Sirichok Jungthawan, Director of Center for International Affairs visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU), the People’s Republic of China to sign the Memorandum of Understanding forAcademic Cooperation between Suranaree University of Technology and Harbin Engineering University. Both universities have agreed to collaboratively work in academic areas, such as exchange of students, staff, lecturers and researchers as well as conduct collaborative research projects and other academicactivities as mutually agreed. On this occasion SUT’s administrators visited College of International Cooperative Education and Science and Technology Research Institute of HEU as well.
Activities that will occur in 2018 include: (1) Harbin Engineering University will send students to participate in the Global Project Based Learning activity hosted by the Institute of Engineering, Suranaree University of Technology in March 2018, (2) Suranaree University of Technology will have students attend the Summer School at Harbin Engineering University in June 2018, (3) the exchange of lecturers and researchers between the two universities, and (4) the co-creation of double degrees in nuclear science and technology, material science and civil engineering. We are hopeful that the collaboration will bring us closer to real internationalisaion in the near future. ::: Photos gallery :::
