The World Technology Universities Network (WTUN) will host the WTUN Gender Equity Workshop on Friday, 13 March 2026, from 09:00–10:30 GMT (16:00–17:30 ICT), in a joint online session organized by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand — bringing together science and technology Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from across the globe to exchange best practices on promoting gender equity in STEM academia.
Under the theme “Best Practices in Promoting Gender Equity in Science and Technology HEIs,” the workshop gathers WTUN member universities to tackle one of the most persistent challenges in higher education: the underrepresentation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — and the structural barriers that sustain it.
The event is co-organized by four leading WTUN member institutions spanning three continents: King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand; University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Austria; University of Bradford, United Kingdom; and Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan — reflecting WTUN’s commitment to meaningful, cross-border academic dialogue on equity and inclusion.
The workshop is part of WTUN’s ongoing webinar series designed to foster knowledge exchange among technology-focused universities worldwide, with sessions available to academics, administrators, researchers, and students with an interest in gender equity policy and practice.
Registration is free and open to all. Participants can register in advance via the official link or by scanning the QR code from the event poster.
