From October 2nd to 5th, 2023, an Austrian delegation, led by Florian Fend, Mag. Arch., University of Art and Design Linz visited Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) with the support of the ASEA-UNINET Project 2023-2024 Grant.
Their focus was on comparing the environmental impact of conventional building materials to
rice straw in construction, collaborating with SUT experts Dr. Vorasiri de Cadenet, Ph.D., and Asst. Prof.
Dr. Meng Lim Hoy.
The visit also featured a tour of SUT’s Thai Studies and Asean Cultures Collections, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and leveraging SUT’s expertise.
