CIA Hosts Foster Family Program for International Students During Songkran 2024

The Host Family program, organized for international students during the Songkran festival, aims to introduce students to the rich cultural traditions of the Thai New Year. The program is designed to foster relationships among students and provide them with a unique cultural immersion experience on April 12-15, 2024.

During the program, students have the opportunity to learn about the customs and traditions associated with Songkran. They participate in various activities that highlight the significance of this festival in Thai culture. These activities not only provide students with a deeper understanding of Thai traditions but also help to build a sense of community among them. Photo album

In addition to cultural activities, the program also includes a visit to the Khao Yai National Park. This allows students to explore the natural beauty of Thailand and learn about its diverse flora and fauna. The visit to the park is followed by a traditional Songkran water fight, a highlight of the festival, which takes place in local communities.

Overall, the Host Family program during the Songkran festival provides international students with a comprehensive cultural experience. It allows them to engage with Thai culture in a meaningful way, build relationships with their peers, and gain a deeper appreciation for Thailand’s natural beauty.
