SUT Signed MoU with Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI)

During March 6-8, 2018; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalization (Prof. Dr. Santi Maensiri), Director of Center for International Affairs (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sirichok Jungthawan), Dean of Institute of Medicine (Prof. Sukij Panpimanmas, MD), Head of Medical Education Department (Asst. Prof. Sarawut Suksuphew, MD), and Head of Global Affairs Section (Dr. Sanong Suksaweang, MT), visited and attended an MOU signing ceremony at Rector’s office, Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) together with Rector of Medical University of Innsbruck (Prof. Dr. Walter Wolfgang Fleischhacker), Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations (Prof. Dr. Christine Bandtlow), and administrators of MUI, Austria.

The agreement with Medical University of Innsbruck is a result of a long-term partnership between SUT and MUI since 2006. SUT has received an honorable recognition for a long-term relationship from MUI whereas Dr. Sanong has been acknowledged an order of merit to be an ambassador of MUI. The SUT delegation has also visited key departments for future collaboration striving for excellence on medical and health sciences: Department of Orthopedics (Prof. Dr. Michael Nogler), Division of Biomedical Physics (Prof. Dr. Ritsch-Marte), Biocenter (Prof. Dr. Lukas Huber), Austrian Drug Screening Institute GmbH, and Department of Medical Statistics, Computer Science and Health Economics (Prof. Dr. Hanno Ulmer).

The MOU between the two universities will focus on developing curriculum, student exchange, visiting professor, and developing dual-degree curricula. MUI was one of the first four faculties (Philosophy 1669, Law 1670, Theology 1670, and Medicine 1674) of the University of Innsbruck. It has been an important flagship for the university throughout its 344-year history. In the hearth of the Tyrol, MUI provides the best conditions for successful research, studies and teaching at an attractive location. The main objectives of the MUI are to provide top quality teaching and training, world-class research and continuous advancements in top-flight medicine. The organizational units of the Med-Uni are divided into medical theory, clinical practice and further (service) facilities. The clinics are located at the Provincial Hospital (Tiroler Landeskrankenhaus) which is simultaneously Medical University of Innsbruck hospital. Today, Med-Uni has some 3,000 students and 2,000 employees. It is the most important medical research and training facility in western Austria and the home university of many Tyroleans, South Tyroleans and students from the Province of Vorarlberg.  ::: Photo gallery :::

เมื่อวันที่ 6-8 มีนาคม 2561 คณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี นำโดย ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สันติ แม้นศิริ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิชาการและพัฒนาความเป็นสากล พร้อมด้วย ศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์สุกิจ พันธุ์พิมานมาศ คณบดีสำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์สราวุธ สุขสุผิว หัวหน้าสถานแพทยศาสตรศึกษา สำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ อาจารย์ เทคนิคการแพทย์ ดร.สนอง สุขแสวง อาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาพยาธิวิทยาและหัวหน้างานวิเทศสัมพันธ์และทุน สำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สิริโชค จึงถาวรรณ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติ เดินทางไปลงนามและเจรจาความร่วมมือ ณ Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) สาธารณรัฐออสเตรีย โดยมี Professor Dr. Walter Wolfgang Fleischhacker อธิการบดี Professor Dr. Christine Bandtlow รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ และคณะผู้บริหาร Medical University of Innsbruck ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ

การลงนามความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ เป็นการต่ออายุบันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่าง มทส. และ MUI ฉบับเดิมที่ได้มีการดำเนินการจัดกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร ตลอดจนกิจกรรมอื่น ๆ ที่ส่งเสริมการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัยมีความร่วมมือกันมาอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2549 โดยมี อาจารย์ เทคนิคการแพทย์ ดร.สนอง สุขแสวง อาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาพยาธิวิทยา และหัวหน้างานวิเทศสัมพันธ์และทุน สำนักวิชาแพทยศาสตร์ เป็นผู้ประสานงานฝ่าย มทส. นอกจากนี้ อาจารย์ เทคนิคการแพทย์ ดร.สนอง สุขแสวง ยังได้รับรางวัล Order of Merit จาก MUI เนื่องในโอกาสที่ได้เป็นผู้ประสานงานความร่วมมือระหว่าง มทส. กับ MUI มานานกว่า 12 ปี อีกด้วย

บันทึกความเข้าใจระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัยฉบับนี้ มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาหลักสูตรร่วมกัน การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา คณาจารย์ และร่วมกันพัฒนาหลักสูตรสองปริญญา (Dual Degree)

ในการนี้ คณะผู้บริหาร มทส. ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมหน่วยงานที่สำคัญในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างสองมหาวิทยาลัย อาทิ Department of Orthopedics Division of Biomedical Physics Biocenter, Austrian Drug Screening Institute GmbH and Department of Medical Statistics Computer Science และ Health Economics โดยมี Professor Dr. Michael Nogler Professor Dr. Ritsch-Marte Professor Dr. Lukas Huber และ Professor Dr. Hanno Ulmer นำชมและให้ข้อมูลในแต่ละหน่วยงานตามลำดับ

MUI เป็นหนึ่งในสี่สำนักวิชาของ University of Innsbruck ซึ่งเป็นนโยบายหลักที่สำคัญมาตลอด 344 ปี MUI มีความเป็นเลิศทางการวิจัย การเรียนการสอน โดยมุ่งเน้นในการจัดการเรียนการสอนที่มีคุณภาพในระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งทางด้านการแพทย์ โครงสร้างองค์กรของมหาวิทยาลัยทางการแพทย์แห่งนี้ แบ่งเป็นทฤษฎีทางการแพทย์ เวชปฏิบัติ และหน่วยงานสนับสนุนต่าง ๆ มีจำนวนนักศึกษากว่า 3,000 คน และเจ้าหน้าที่กว่า 2,000 คน :::ภาพข่าว :::
