Today (January 25, 2567), Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), represented by Professor Dr. Santi Maensiri, Dean of the Faculty of Science, together with Associate Professor Dr. Khanchai Khosonthongkee, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the administrators, and heads of departments within the Faculty of Science, along with Associate Professor Dr. Tapany Patcharawit, Deputy Director of the Center for International Affairs, welcomed a delegation from six universities of the People’s Republic of China.
The delegation included representatives from:
- University of Science and Technology Beijing
- Xi’an Jiaotong University
- Tsinghua University
- Beihang University
- Beijing Institute of Technology
- Beijing Jiaotong University
During the meeting held at the Saranitet Meeting Room, SUT Administration Building, Prof. Dr. Wenbin Cao Vice Dean, School of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, led discussions on academic and research cooperation opportunities. Both SUT and the representatives from the six Chinese universities introduced their respective organizations, research activities, and discussed topics such as overall teaching management, scholarship opportunities for students, and explored details regarding the preparation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for student, faculty, and research exchanges.
Additionally, there were discussions on the possibility of expanding cooperation through the formalization of MoUs at the university level. Both parties expressed their commitment to follow the necessary procedures to establish these MoUs in the near future.
