
Nanchang, China – November 27, 2025 – Suranaree University of Technology’s “Team DuriCap” has won The Silver Award at the 2025 iSpark International Pitching Competition (IIPC), held at Jiangxi Vocational College of Foreign Studies (JXVCFS) in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China, from November 25-27, 2025. The team’s innovative “Plant-based Capsule from Durian Peel Pectin” impressed judges and secured a spot in the Top 10 Finalists among over 30 competing teams from around the world.

The Technopolis Business Incubation and Innovation Division led the SUT delegation, which included students and staff who participated in multiple significant activities. Beyond the competition success, SUT was honored to join the IIPC Alliance Founding ceremony as a founding member of this long-term collaboration network between universities and business incubators from ASEAN and China. The alliance aims to enhance knowledge exchange opportunities and jointly develop future entrepreneurs.

The delegation also participated in a Roundtable Discussion on innovation direction and a Campus Tour to observe the host institution’s technological advancements. This participation represents a significant experience that opened opportunities for SUT students to showcase their capabilities on an international stage while establishing a strong foundation for international cooperation.

The achievement strengthens SUT’s position in nurturing entrepreneurs and startups with more robust connections to global markets, bringing pride to both the university and Thailand.
