The ASEA-UNINET Network has announced the ASEA-UNINET Project Funding Call 2026, inviting research proposals for projects scheduled to run from October 2026 to September 2027 or 2028. The application deadline is 23 April 2026. This funding programme aims to strengthen international research collaboration among member universities, particularly between Austrian institutions and partner universities in ASEAN countries or Pakistan. The funding primarily supports travel and subsistence costs for project participants.
In addition to the ASEA-UNINET research funding scheme, several European university scholarship programmes are available for graduates from ASEA-UNINET member institutions. These include:
- LMINT and STAR Scholarships offered by the University of Brescia, Italy, supporting Master’s degree studies, with applications open until 15 March 2026.
- Transilvania Academica Scholarships (TAS) offered by Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, supporting Master’s degree studies, with applications open until 10 April 2026.
- West University of Timișoara (WUT) Scholarships, Romania, supporting Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes, with applications open until 1 August 2026.
These scholarship programmes aim to enhance academic cooperation and strengthen capacity building among students within the ASEA-UNINET network by providing opportunities for advanced study and collaborative research with leading European universities.
