On Friday, 19 June 2026, the Center for International Affairs, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), organized the New International Students Orientation Day for the 2026 Academic Year at the Bannasarn Sathit Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Center for Library Resources and Educational Media Building. The event was designed to help newly admitted international students prepare for their academic journey, adjust to campus life, and become familiar with essential university services.
During the orientation, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students received important information on academic regulations, student services, campus facilities, information technology services, scientific laboratories and equipment, library resources, student activities, healthcare services, health insurance, immigration requirements, and safety guidelines for living in Thailand.
Representatives from various SUT units contributed to the programme, including the Center for Computer Services, the Center for Scientific and Technological Equipment, the Center for Educational Services, the Division of Student Affairs, the Division of Finance and Accounting, the Sports and Health Center, Suranaree University of Technology Hospital, and the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media. Each unit introduced its services, contact channels, and essential information to support students throughout their studies at SUT.
The students also learned about the SUT Student Council, student clubs, and extracurricular activities. A library tour and campus visit, including a tour of the DIGITECH Building, were arranged to help the students become familiar with key facilities and learning spaces across the university.
As part of the programme, the new international students had an opportunity to meet and engage in an informal conversation with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sittichai Seangatith, Acting Rector of Suranaree University of Technology. The session created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and strengthened the students’ sense of belonging to the SUT community.
The orientation reflected SUT’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for international students, enabling them to begin their studies with confidence, adapt smoothly to university life, and make the most of the academic, social, and intercultural opportunities available at SUT.
