The relationship between Canada and Suranaree University of Technology(SUT)

The relationship between Canada and Suranaree University of Technology(SUT) goes back many years, through scholarships for SUT lecturers to study in Canada, and the introduction of cooperative education to Thailand through collaboration with the University of Waterloo.

Ambassador Dr. Sarah Taylor recently held discussions with SUT’s Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anan Tongraar, Vice Rector, Dr. Mullika Sungsanit and representatives from the University, meeting in Pak Chong District at the Pannar Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Learning Center established with the aim to inspire and disseminate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.

Ambassador Taylor conveyed Canada’s desire for strengthened engagement on research collaboration in the fields of smart agriculture and engineering, highlighting opportunities to conduct short-term study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions through the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) initiative. The Embassy of Canada looks forward to continuing the tradition of support for the prosperity and well-being of local communities in Thailand. Thank you for the rich discussions! #SmartAgriculture#cooperativeeducation#scholarshipopportunities
