ตามที่สำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม ได้ดำเนินการจัดสรรทุนการศึกษาภายใต้โครงการ Thailand Scholarships ประจำปีการศึกษา 2562 สำหรับชาวกัมพูชา ลาว และเมียนมา เพื่อศึกษาต่อ ณ สถาบันการศึกษาของประเทศไทย ในการนี้ มีนักศึกษาจากเมียนมาจำนวน 1 คน ได้แก่ Ms. Nyein Nyein Aye และนักศึกษาจากกัมพูชา จำนวน 1 คนได้แก่ Ms. Moeurng Sreylak เข้าศึกษาต่อ ณ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารีเริ่มตั้งแต่ในปีการศึกษา 2562
