
Dr. Paphada Limpachanangkul from the School of Chemical Engineering, Suranaree University of Technology, participated in the GNU-SUT Global Project-based Learning program at Gyeongsang National University (GNU) in Jinju, Republic of Korea, from 25-30 January 2026, under the CIA Co-Funding program.
Program Objectives
- International Teamwork Experience: Encourage creative problem-solving and promote cultural exchange between Korea and Thailand
- Collaborative Research: Strengthening working relationships between SUT and GNU toward long-term collaborative projects and laboratory exchange
Key Activities
1. Real-World Global Teamwork Experience
- Development of a practical business project proposal promoting cultural exchange between Thailand and Korea
- Enhancement of leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills through group discussions, teamwork sessions, and project presentations
- Strengthening of international friendships and global networks through collaborative activities
2. International Academic Collaboration
- Exchange of ideas on potential joint research topics and student exchange
- Technical discussions on current research themes and methodologies
- Laboratory visits to observe facilities, equipment, and ongoing research activities
3. Cultural Exchange
- Experience of wearing Hanbok, the traditional Korean dress, and learning its cultural significance
- Participation in traditional Korean games, including Yutnori and Jegichagi
- Educational visit to the Busan Museum to explore Korean history and culture
This program is part of the academic collaboration between SUT and GNU, focusing on creating project-based learning experiences in an international context, promoting knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic relationships between the two institutions for long-term cooperation.
