MHESI and SUT Hosts Workshop to Strengthen ASEA-UNINET University Network Coordinators, May 19, 2025

Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) recently hosted a practical workshop aimed at enhancing the capabilities of university coordinators within the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET). The event took place on May 19, 2025, at the Mandarin A Room on the first floor of the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok.

The workshop, titled “Practical Workshop to Enhance the Capacity of Network Coordinators between Universities in the European Region and Universities in Southeast Asia (ASEA-UNINET) of Thai Higher Education Institutions for 2025,” brought together key stakeholders from various Thai higher education institutions.

A highlight of the event was an informative session called “NC Talk” focused on “Enhancing Capacity of ASEA-UNINET University Coordinators.” The presentation was delivered by Dr. Mullika Sungsanit, Vice-Rector for Engagement, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Suranaree University of Technology,  a National Coordinator for Thailand who shared valuable insights on strengthening international academic cooperation between ASEAN and European universities.

The ASEA-UNINET network plays a crucial role in fostering academic exchange, research collaboration, and educational partnerships between universities in Southeast Asia and Europe. This workshop represents Thailand’s commitment to strengthening international academic relations and improving the effectiveness of university coordinators who facilitate these important cross-regional connections.
