Two graduate students from the Integrated Science and Innovation Program, Institute of Science, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), participated in the 2026 Shanghai Summer School at Shanghai University of Electric Power (SUEP), People’s Republic of China, from 26 June to 13 July 2026.
The SUT participants were:
- Mr. Nitikorn Chumnankul, Master’s degree student
- Ms. Ishmah Luthfiyah, Doctoral degree student
Focusing on smart energy and electric power innovation, the 18-day international summer school provided participants with opportunities to explore emerging energy-related topics through academic courses, practical competitions, cultural exchange activities, and educational visits to energy enterprises and major landmarks in Shanghai. The program also promoted teamwork, intercultural communication, and international networking among students from different countries.
During the program, Ms. Ishmah Luthfiyah demonstrated outstanding performance and received two First Prize awards:
- First Prize – “Excellent in Action” at The 8th International Energy and Power Business Decision-Making Simulation Competition
- First Prize at the 2026 SUEP CUP “Belt and Road” International Speech Contest
Her achievements highlight the capabilities of SUT students in academic learning, strategic business decision-making, English communication, and cross-cultural teamwork. The participation of both students also provided valuable international exposure and strengthened their readiness to contribute to future innovation and international cooperation in the energy sector.
Founded in 1951, Shanghai University of Electric Power is a higher education institution renowned for its strengths in energy and electric power. The university also offers programs in engineering, science, management, economics, and other disciplines while actively promoting international education and cooperation in the energy and power sectors.
