Between 23rd and 27th July 2018, Prof.Dr. Masahiro Inoue, Vice President, and Prof. Dr. Emiko Hirose Horton from Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) visited Suranaree University of Technology (SUT). The main purpose of the visit was to provide a special seminar on “Teaching and Learning in Higher Education for the 21st Century” which was attended by the Rectorof SUT, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Internationalisation, Assistants to the Rector, many of the SUT lecturers as well as lecturers from partner universities.
Although SIT and SUT have had many activities together in the past years, a meeting was held to discuss further collaboration. The followings were said to be possible in the future:
(1) Double degree or joint degree development
(2) Staff exchange opportunities
(3) SIT scholarships for SUT students (the amount of money depends on student’s GPA)
(4) Student exchange programme, starting with a one-semester exchange.
SUT will continue to work closely with SIT in order to increase the opportunities for both students and staff to gain experiences as well as to increase the level of internationalisation within the university.
ในวันที่ 24 กรกฏาคม รศ. ร.อ. ดร.กนต์ธร ชำนิประศาสน์ คณบดีสำนักวิชาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ศิรปัฐช์ บุญครอง รักษาการแทนผู้อำนวยการศูนย์กิจการนานาชาติ พร้อมคณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยฯ ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Dr.Masahiro Inoue และ Professor Emiko Hirose Horton ผู้บริหารจาก Shibaura Institute of Technology ในการหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสองสถาบัน ณ ห้องประชุมสารนิทัศน์ อาคารบริหาร เวลา 13.00 น เป็นต้นไป และภายหลังจากเสร็จสิ้นการหารือฯได้นำคณะไปเยี่ยมชมหน่วยการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศด้วย
