SURANIVET DORMITORY CONNECT: LIVE & LEARN BRINGS THAI AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TOGETHER

The Center for International Affairs (CIA) and the Division for Student Affairs (DSA) at Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) successfully hosted the “Suranivet Dormitory Connect: Live & Learn” event on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Royal Jubilee Hall, SUT.

This engaging program brought together Thai and international students to share essential information about dormitory life, including rules and regulations, fees, room types, and tips for harmonious living with roommates from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The event was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawee Usaha, CIA Director, alongside Asst. Prof. Dr. Tapany Patcharawit, CIA Deputy Director. Notable attendees included Dr. Sirinthorn Seepho, acting Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Engagement; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kiattisak Batsungnoen; and dormitory counselors from Suranivet Dormitories 1–18.

More than 300 students participated, with approximately 150 Thai students and 150 international students, highlighting the vibrant and diverse community at SUT.

Participants enjoyed a variety of food offerings prepared by each dormitory, international cuisine provided by the Center for International Affairs, and a special highlight of Pakistani dishes prepared by SUT’s Pakistani student community.

The event not only delivered valuable information but also promoted friendship, cultural exchange, and a strong sense of community, truly making the dormitory a “Home for SUT students.”    Photo album

 

Suranivet Dormitory Connect: Live & Learn une a estudiantes tailandeses e internacionales

El Centro de Asuntos Internacionales (CIA) y la División de Asuntos Estudiantiles (DSA) de la Universidad de Tecnología de Suranaree (SUT) organizaron el evento “Suranivet Dormitory Connect: Live & Learn” el lunes 15 de septiembre de 2025, en el Royal Jubilee Hall, SUT.

El programa brindó a estudiantes tailandeses e internacionales información clave sobre la vida en los dormitorios Suranivet: reglamentos, tarifas, tipos de habitación y consejos para convivir.

La ceremonia de apertura estuvo encabezada por la Asist. Prof. Dr. Wipawee Usaha, Directora del CIA, junto con distinguidos representantes de la SUT y consejeros de los Dormitorios Suranivet 1–18.

Más de 300 estudiantes participaron (150 tailandeses y 150 internacionales), reflejando la diversidad y el dinamismo de nuestra comunidad.

Además, cada dormitorio preparó platillos especiales, sumándose a la gastronomía internacional organizada por el CIA y un destacado menú pakistaní de nuestra comunidad estudiantil

El evento no solo ofreció información práctica, sino que también fortaleció la amistad, el intercambio cultural y el sentido de pertenencia, convirtiendo los dormitorios en un verdadero hogar para los estudiantes de SUT.

Suranivet 宿舍连心:乐居与共

2025年9月15日,素罗娜丽科技大学(SUT)国际事务中心(CIA)与学生事务处(DSA)联合举办了 “Suranivet 宿舍连心:乐居与共” 活动。此次活动旨在为泰国与国际学生提供有关 Suranivet 宿舍的重要信息,内容涵盖宿舍规章制度、住宿费用、房型介绍,以及与不同文化背景的室友和谐相处的实用技巧,帮助同学们更好地适应宿舍生活。

开幕式由国际事务中心主任 副教授 Dr. Wipawee Usaha 主持,国际事务中心副主任 副教授 Dr. Tapany Patcharawit 出席。学生事务与校友事务代理副校长 Dr. Sirinthorn Seepho 以及 副教授 Dr. Kiattisak Batsungnoen 也参加了此次活动。来自 Suranivet 1–18 栋的宿舍顾问老师们亦到场支持。

活动共吸引了 300余名宿舍学生 参与,其中约有 150名泰国学生和150名国际学生,充分展现了 SUT 校园社区的多元与活力。

在轻松热烈的氛围中,师生们还品尝了各宿舍精心准备的美食,国际事务中心也带来了丰富的国际餐点,而最受瞩目的亮点,则是由 SUT 巴基斯坦学生社区呈上的特色巴基斯坦料理。

“Suranivet 宿舍连心:乐居与共” 不仅为学生们提供了实用的信息,更在交流中增进了友谊与文化互鉴,营造了归属感,使 Suranivet 宿舍真正成为 “SUT 学生的家”。

 


Suranivet Dormitory Connect Event: Building Community Through Fun and Learning

SUT invites Suranivet dormitory residents to join the “Suranivet Dormitory Connect: Live & Learn” event on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Royal Jubilee Hall (near S16).

Event Highlights

Organized by the Center for International Affairs (CIA) and Division of Student Affairs (DSA), the event features team-building games, informational sessions, and networking opportunities. Activities include Suranivet Connect Bingo, Suranivet Power games, and an “All About Suranivet Dormitory” information session.

The evening will also feature a “Lucky Suranivet Resident” draw with prizes, followed by complimentary food and beverages. The event promotes the university’s “Living Together Happily” philosophy, encouraging stronger connections among the diverse dormitory community.
