Suranaree University of Technology Signs MOU with Yersin University to Enhance Academic Collaboration

On July 14, 2025, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) welcomed a delegation from Yersin University (YU), Vietnam, for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony aimed at fostering academic collaboration. The event, held at Meeting Room 5, Academic Building 1, was part of SUT’s continued efforts to expand its international partnerships.

Initiated through the shared academic interests between the two institutions, the agreement emphasizes cooperation in research, student and faculty exchanges, and joint academic activities.

The Yersin University delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Vi Thong, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Oriental Studies and Head of the Office of Scientific Research Management and International Relations. He was accompanied by Ms. Dang Ngoc Cat Tien, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Long Hai, and Ms. Le Thi Dieu Duyen, all lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Oriental Studies, with Mr. Hai and Ms. Duyen currently pursuing their PhD studies at SUT.

Representing SUT were key members from the Institute of Social Technology and related schools, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchalee Wannaruk, Dean of the Institute of Social Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawee Usaha, Director of the Center for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Napaporn Janchai, Associate Dean of the Institute of Social Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sunitiya Thuannadee, Chair of the School of Management Technology; Dr. Jitpanat Suwanthep, Chair of the School of Foreign Languages; Dr. Pramote Pakdeenarong, Chair of the School of General Education; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jerd Bandasak, Lecturer at the School of General Education.

The formal program began with welcome remarks and institutional overviews, followed by the official signing of the MOU and a photo session. A collaborative discussion concluded the event, exploring future joint initiatives between the two universities.
