On April 8, 2024, the Student Administration of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Promotion and the Cultural Council of Nakhon Ratchasima, organized the “Songkran Festival: White Horse Cloth” “สงกรานต์หรรษา ผ้าขาวม้าม่วนซื่น” at SUT.
The event aimed to conserve and pass on the tradition of Songkran and celebrate the occasion of UNESCO registering the Thai Songkran tradition as an intangible cultural heritage of the world.
In this event, international students at SUT, both Thai and foreign students, participated in the Songkran festival activities at SUT. The event highlighted the importance of Songkran, allowing students to understand and appreciate the significance of this Thai tradition.
The students’ participation in these activities underscores the vibrant cultural exchange that takes place at SUT, fostering a global community that respects and celebrates diverse cultures.
