A delegation from Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchalee Wannaruk, Dean of the Institute of Social Technology and Graduate School Coordinator for Academic Affairs in English Language Studies, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jeffrey Dawala Wilang and Asst. Prof. Dr. Adcharawan Buripakdi, visited three leading Indonesian universities to strengthen international collaboration and expand the School of Foreign Languages’ global academic network.
The first stop was Universitas Nasional (UNAS) in Jakarta, the city’s oldest private university and the second oldest in Indonesia. Coordinated by Dr. Siti Tuti Alawiyah, Head of the English Department, the SUT team met with Dr. Nana Yuliana, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Literature, along with vice deans and faculty members. Discussions focused on potential academic collaborations, marking the beginning of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) process between the two institutions.

The final leg of the visit brought the team to Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Bandung, a prestigious public university founded in 1954. Hosted by Dr. Ririn from the Directorate of International Affairs, both universities exchanged information on institutional, faculty, and program-level collaborations. The discussions concluded with an agreement to hold follow-up online meetings to further develop and formalize joint initiatives.
This week-long series of engagements underscores SUT’s commitment to fostering international partnerships that enhance academic exchange, collaborative research, and faculty–student mobility. The meetings in Jakarta and Bandung are expected to open new opportunities for cross-border educational cooperation in the years to come. Photo album
