Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) will host a special collaboration event with OptiCept Technologies on August 22, 2025, focusing on food technology innovation and sustainability research in Southeast Asia.
The event, titled “Exploring Collaborative with OptiCept Technologies: Food Tech & Sustainability,” will take place at the Co-Working Space, Technopolis, SUT, as part of the SUT Connect by Technopolis series (EP1. OptiCept). The Center for International Affairs is organizing this initiative to strengthen research partnerships and explore innovative solutions for the region’s food technology sector.
Mr. Anders Hattmark, Director Asia/Senior Advisor at OptiCept Technologies, will deliver a special presentation on “Disrupting Food Processing with Precision Technologies: The OptiCept Journey” from 09:00 to 12:00, followed by collaboration discussions with Thai industry liaisons and the International Advisory Team (IAT) from 13:00 to 15:30.
The collaboration will focus on several key areas including technology localization and pilot testing, joint research projects and publications, student and staff mobility programs, and technical exchange initiatives. Additional areas of cooperation include capacity building and training programs, technology licensing and commercialization opportunities, joint applications for international and national funding, and the co-development of region-specific food technology solutions.
This partnership represents SUT’s commitment to advancing sustainable food technology development through international collaboration. The event aims to establish concrete frameworks for ongoing research cooperation and knowledge transfer between SUT and OptiCept Technologies, potentially benefiting food processing industries across Southeast Asia.
