
Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) is pleased to announce a significant advancement in our international academic partnerships through a new collaboration with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in the field of semiconductor technology.
Strategic Meeting
On March 13, 2025, a collaborative meeting took place between the Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM) at NCKU and the SUT delegation. This important gathering was organized by Chair Professor Fong-Chin Su, Executive Director of the Taiwan-Thailand Science and Technology Center (TTSTC).

Exclusive Meeting Outcomes
In a separate meeting with Associate Dean Prof. Wei-Chou Hsu from the Institute of Microelectronics and Prof. Dr. Wen-Dung Hsu from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, SUT proposed several areas for collaboration:
- Student mobility programs
- Academic exchange and training opportunities
- Co-creation of cooperative and work-integrated education in the semiconductor field
Thailand’s Opportunity in Semiconductor Industry
The collaboration aims to strengthen Thailand’s position in the semiconductor industry, focusing on:
- IC design
- Fabrication
- Assembling, testing, and packaging
Future Prospects
This collaboration marks a significant step toward enhancing SUT’s capabilities in semiconductor technology and education.
