เมื่อวันที่ 7-8 พฤษภาคม 2561 รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วีระพงษ์ แพสุวรรณ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี (มทส.) พร้อมคณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัย ได้รับเกียรติอย่างยิ่งจาก ฯพณฯ นายเจฟฟรีย์ ดอยจ์ (Mr. Geoffrey Doidge) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐแอฟริกาใต้ประจำประเทศไทย นำคณะเจ้าหน้าที่เดินทางเข้าเยี่ยมชมภารกิจของมหาวิทยาลัยอย่างไม่เป็นทางการ มทส. เป็นสถาบันอุมศึกษาชั้นนำแห่งหนึ่งของไทยที่มีพัฒนาการด้านความร่วมมือทางด้านวิชาการ การศึกษา การพัฒนากำลังคนด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีในระดับนานาชาติเชื่อมโยงกับมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะได้มีความร่วมมือกับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในภูมิภาคแอฟริกาใต้มาอย่างแน่นแฟ้นกว่า10 ปี ภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่าง มทส. กับมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยี Durban (DUT) ประเทศสาธารณรัฐแอฟริกาใต้ ซึ่งได้ทำการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาสหกิจศึกษาและพัฒนาอาชีพระหว่างสองสถาบันมาเป็นเวลานาน โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนประสานงานเป็นอย่างดีของสถานทูตทั้งสองประเทศ ความสำเร็จครั้งนี้ มทส. ได้รับการประสานงานผ่าน นายชาคีล โอริ (Mr. Shakeel Ori) ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์สหกิจศึกษาและพัฒนาอาชีพ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยี Durban ที่ผ่านมาได้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศเข้าปฏิบัติงานจริงในองค์กรชั้นนำกว่า 15 คน ถือเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นครั้งสำคัญของนักศึกษาทั้งสองแห่งที่จะต้องมีการปรับตัวให้สามารถทำงานร่วมกับเพื่อนร่วมงานได้ทุกเชื้อชาติ ที่ไหนก็ได้ทั่วโลก ประกอบกับ มทส. ยังเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งแรกของประเทศไทยที่ได้นำระบบสหกิจศึกษามาใช้ในการเรียนการสอน Continue Reading
