On May 28th, 2019, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Anan Tongraar, Vice Rector Research, Innovation, and Technology Development, and board of director welcomed Professor Dr. Xiao Gang Xue, President, Professor Dr. Hongyi Yang, Director of Reactor Engineering Research and Technology Department and Professor Dr.Yiguo Li, Head of MNSR Lab from China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE), People’s republic of China, to have a meeting discussion about Miniature Neutron Source Reactor and sign academic collaboration MOU with Suranaree University of University.
After signing ceremony, both institutions has discussed about Miniature Neutron Source Reactor installing preparation, construction and installation plan, process of getting license from related organization, practical process plan, and research collaboration.
China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and Suranaree University of Technology has signed Academic collaboration for the first time since May 28th, 2014. Both institutions has good relationship between each other. Board of director and professors of Suranaree university of Technology had visited leading reactor laboratory such as Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Chemistry, Chemical radiation, and Radiation technology engineering. As well as, staffs in related fields has joined the Zero Power Test of Miniature Neutron Source Research Reactors workshop at CIAE.

ในวันนี้ (28 พฤษภาคม 2562) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิจัย นวัตกรรม และพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี (รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อนันต์ ทองระอา) และคณะผู้บริหาร ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Dr. Xiao Gang Xue, President, Professor Dr. Hongyi Yang, Director of Reactor Engineering Research and Technology Department and Professor Dr.Yiguo Li, Head of MNSR Lab จาก China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) ประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ในการเดินทางมาร่วมประชุมหารือรายละเอียดการจัดสร้างเครื่องกำเนิดนิวตรอนขนาดเล็ก (Miniature Neutron Source Reactor: MNSR) รุ่นใหม่ และลงนามความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารีซึ่งเป็นเป็นการลงนามต่อเนื่องจากฉบับเดิมที่ได้สิ้นสุดระยะเวลาตามข้อตกลง ณ ห้องประชุมสารนิเทศ อาคารบริหาร :::ภาพข่าว :::
ภายหลังจากเสร็จสิ้นการลงนามความร่วมมือ ทั้งสองสถาบันได้หารือความคืบหน้าการเตรียมการติดตั้งเครื่องกำเนิดนิวตรอนขนาดเล็ก แผนการก่อสร้างและแผนติดตั้ง การดำเนินการในการขอใบอนุญาตกับหน่วยงานที่ของรัฐที่เกี่ยวข้อง แผนการดำเนินการเชิงปฏิบัติ และความร่วมมือในด้านการวิจัยจากเครื่องฯ
China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) และมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี ลงนามความร่วมมือทางวิชการร่วมกันครั้งแรกตั้งแต่วันที่ 28 พฤษภาคม 2557 ทั้งสองสถาบันได้มีความสัมพันธ์อันดีร่วมกันตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมา โดยผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารีได้เดินทางไปเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการวิจัยชั้นนำเกี่ยวกับเครื่องปฏิกรณ์วิจัยด้านต่าง ๆ อาทิ ฟิสิกส์นิวเคลียร์ เคมีนิวเคลียร์ เคมีรังสี วิศวกรรมเทคโนโลยีของเครื่องปฏิกรณ์ อีกทั้งเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องได้ไปเข้าร่วมฝึกอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ Zero Power Test of Miniature Neutron Source Research Reactors (MNSR) ณ CIAE อีกด้วย
